Salento is famous for having some of the most beautiful beaches in Italy, some pretty towns and the beautiful and historic cities, with art so significant to be dubbed 'the Florence of the South'

The long and varied coastline makes Salento, one of Europe’s main seaside destinations.

Salento represents a haven for sea lovers. Golden sandy beaches stretching around the coastline, cliffs and lagoons make Salento a hidden gem in Europe.

This land is kissed by the sun all year round, with full spring arriving in early April and very mild temperatures until late November or early December.

What to do in Nardò once you get there

Like much of Salento, Nardò is a gourmet heaven and there are few tourists, wild beaches, clear seas and acre upon acre of olive trees. Italians come for sun, sea and incredible food, fished from nearby waters. It’s also great for cycling, peaceful walks and picnics in the protected pine forest of Porto Selvaggio.
